Hope at 100
From 2Millionth Web Log

100 days, that is...well, yesterday's big story about Arlen's party (and he'll cry if he wants to) is probably as good a metaphor as any--someone who's been pretty much a mainstream Republican can, one, no longer expect ANY support from the wingnut base, and two, is plenty welcome enough on the other side of the aisle.

I wish the neo-con ninnies shouting "socialist" from the rooftops basements would take note--far from being even radical, the Obama administration is pretty middle of the road, Keynesian to be sure...duh--so was their be-knighted/beatified/be-sainted Ronald, Patron of the Laffer curve...They've been forced by circumstance--the George W. Bush exercise in political and economic lunacy--to undertake significant measures to, ahem, PRESERVE the existing system.

There are moments when the new administration has been disappointing to true progressives; however, they are working under certain constraints and probably doing the best they can given the circumstances. And it's not like the alternative would have been any better...far from it:

Anyway...

Oh--am a little under the weather today, posting will likely be slow...and tomorrow I'll be stuck in a training class. Until then...
