On one level I suppose this is very slightly better late than never; however, the passing of four years will no doubt frustrate efforts to achieve justice even further:

An office of the New Orleans Police Department was searched last week in connection with a federal investigation into the shootings of two men on a bridge just after Hurricane Katrina, authorities said...

The bridge shootings occurred September 4, 2005, days after Katrina slammed into the Gulf Coast. Two men were killed and four were wounded as they attempted to evacuate New Orleans by crossing the Danziger Bridge over the Industrial Canal in eastern New Orleans...

Ronald Madison, 40, and James Brissette, 19, were killed. Autopsy results showed that Madison, a mentally ill man with no criminal record, was shot in the back. No weapon was found on or near his body.

The report also notes the possibility of additional investigation with regards to Henry Glover (not identified in the article), whose burned remains were found in a car near Algiers Point.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

On a related note, health care reform delayed is also health care reform denied...which wingers freely admit.
